I need some help with my Asus laptop?

So i got a laptop to last me threw highschool and its and Asus laptop 3g and i want to put my sims game on it and my roller coaster tycoon but i have music files and documents that i have saved to my extra hard drive,but i dont want to mess up my pc could i put all the files on a thumb drive? or how should i do this?
