I need HELP! Can someone please answer My Question?

I have a Dell computer, not a laptop. It has WindowsXP on it. In the last three months one of my games, Zoo Tycoon 2- Ultimate Collection isn't working. It says that it can't find System 32, which is bad right? Well, it needs DirectX 9.0 to run it, so I looked to see if my computer had DirectX 9.0 on it! It did not so I went to install it, but it said that it hasn't passed Windows Logo Testing and it will not complete the installation. I tried to go to Direct X error log and also to Computer help, but nothing worked. The computer couldn't even figure out the problem. I really want to play my game, so if anyone can help, that would be great!
